The captain of Canon Yaounde, Pierre Womé
Canon: Pierre Womé avoids talk about departure

Following the announcement a few days ago that the captain of Canon Kpa-kum is embarking on a new adventure in China, Pierre Womé says he wants to concentrate on the end of the Elite One season with his current club.

“I am talking about the Championship, I am here for now and I do not want to talk about it.  I am going to do what I have to for us to qualify for the African competitions,” stated the former Werder Brêmen player at the end of the clash between his team and Panthère Sportive du Ndé (1-0) on Sunday.

We recall however, that at the time of the signing of his contract in March with Mekok-me-ngonda, the international Cameroonian had said that he had only joined the mythical Nkolndongo club for a period of four months, only to take off again.

Rennes: Kana-Biyick is staying

The young Cameroonian international of Stade Rennais, who was recently courted by AC Milan, will not be leaving the club before the French championship resumes.

“I am flattered.  But am 23 years old and I want to prove myself in the Ligue 1.  I think that I still need more experience.  The club does not want to sell and I respect their decision,” confided the young defender of the Lions on Sky Sports.

The former French international under-23 player is under contract with the Breton club until 2015 and also on the books of the Southampton Saints, the English club that was promoted to the Premier League at the end of last season.

Troyes want Bahebeck

Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne hope to take on French-Cameroonian striker, Jean-Christophe Bahebeck (19 years old, 8 appearances in the Ligue 1 in 2011-2012), from Paris-Saint-Germain.

According to the French daily, l’Equipe, the newly promoted Ligue 1 club made contact with the directors of the Parisian club in the hope of loaning the former US Persan player; a transaction which could well interest the Parisian directors, although they were hoping not to sell the young striker for the moment.

This would undoubtedly allow the Saint-Denis-born player to gain more game time this season, because it is clear that with the recruitment currently being effected at the club from the capital, competition will be stiff.

Valenciennes: Aboubakar hopes to stay

Valenciennes’s Cameroonian international striker, Vincent Aboubakar (20 years old), is set on continuing the journey that began in 2010 in the Ligue 1 with the northern club.

“My agent is in discussions with the club.  Change and go overseas?  It is too early for me,” he confided to l'Equipe.

The former Coton Sport de Garoua (Cameroonian Elite One club) player is under contract to Valenciennes (27 appearances and 6 goals this season) until the end of 2013.
