Unisport put on the pressure
Out of the leading trio, it was “Flambeau de
l’Ouest” who managed the best feat of Day 9, with the defeat of Union Sportive in
Yaoundé and Coton Sport’s draw against New Star at the Stade de la
Réunification.
President Emmanuel Leubou’s men now lie in second
place, just a point behind the big boys of Garoua who did not manage to overcome
Faustin Domkeu’s protégés.
This easing up of pressure at the top of the
table also benefitted Panthère Sportive, who put an end to a series of four
draws when they beat Tiko United 2-0 in Bangangté.
Fauve du Ndé therefore climb into fourth place,
just ahead of Union de Douala on goal difference.
Sable de Batié also put on a good show,
outclassing Scorpion de Bé 2-1 in Mbouda.
The “San San Boys” now lie on equal points with
New Star and Canon in sixth place.
Union of course will be feeling the
disappointment, as will Astres and YOSA who were held to a draw by Renaissance and
Aigle de la Menoua respectively.
Tiko United still bring up the rear with
Renaissance de Ngoumou.
