This will amount to one of the biggest fixtures in this new chapter of the Cameroonian Championship, which will take place this weekend throughout the country.
The Cotonculteurs have the opportunity here to make a come-back and win back their first position on the log, one they let slip to the Panthère du Ndé in the fourteenth week, following their slip-up against Sable de Batié (0-0).
Robert Boivin’s men currently occupy third position just behind their opponent of the day with a match in hand (against Renaissance FC de Ngoumou on 25 July), and they will certainly be set on erasing the memory of their recent elimination from the CAF Cup against Al Ahly Shendy in Sudan from the minds of their supporters.
But they will have to put on their best face against a confident Nassaras outfit, who are led by the second best striker of the Elite One with six goals to his name, Joël Babanda.
The other big clash of Week 16 will see Unisport du Haut-Nkam measure strengths against mythical team, Canon Sportif de Yaoundé.
The Mekok Mengonda, who have just drawn against the Astres and suffered a humiliating defeat 1-3 at home against young outfit, the New Stars de Douala, face a tricky away game in Bafang.
And finally the leader, Panthère Sportive, will host Aigle Royal de la Menoua in Bangangté in the hope of consolidating their lead, while Stade de la Réunification will be home to the derby between New Stars and Astres.
