ASO Chlef upset Al-Hilal

ASO Chlef caused the upset of the 2012 CAF Champions League second round when they knocked out 2009 and 2011 semifinalists Al-Hilal of Sudan.

League Overview

MTN Elite one 2011/12 Cameroon’s elite championship was created in 1961, then re-baptised the MTN Elite One in the 2007/08 season, with the arrival of its new sponsor. 

Reduced to fourteen teams for the 2008/09 edition, it now runs under the aegis of the brand new professional league. 

The 2011/12 season kicked off on 14 January 2012 with Coton Sport occupying the position of current champion.
