Black Leopards have moved their CAF Confederation Cup clash with Sudanese side Al-Merreikh on Saturday to the Ellis Park Stadium (15h00).

The game now has a third listed venue after the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane was first pencilled in.

But with the pitch at the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue undergoing maintenance ahead of the new PSL season, the ground is unavailable.

Leopards’ alternate home, the Giyani Stadium, was also out of commission, meaning the club moved the fixture to the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto, the usual home from PSL side Moroka Swallows.

But the club have now announced that the game will be played at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg instead, with a kick-off time of 15h00.

No explanation was given for the move by the club, but it should not worry the Sudanese too much given that the venue is an established football stadium.

Al-Merreikh hold a slender 3-2 lead from the first leg in Omdurman on June 30 and Leopards will need just one goal in order to advance to the group stages of the competition on away goals.
