Injured: Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze is doubtful for their trip to Madagascar
Mbabane Highlanders’ speedy striker Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze is racing against time to recover in time for the CAF away match this Sunday in Madagascar.

He has knee trouble which kept him out of training the whole of last week, but he returned on Monday. However, even though he was back, he was still not recovered and had to do light training while the rest of the team went through vigorous training.

Highlanders are set to leave the country on Thursday for the first leg match against Terrible CO in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup and need every player at full fitness.

“I have a knee problem I’m still fighting off, but I’m happy to be back at training even though I’m having light training,” Ndzimandze told MTNFootball.com.

He said he was hopeful to recover in time for the game as he would not like to miss it for anything. He was the only player on the casualty list on Monday afternoon, otherwise the others were in good condition.

The team’s coach Mlamuli ‘Sputla’ Zwane also confirmed Ndzimandze’s return to training and said he was hopeful he will recover on time for the game. He said midfielder Hloniphani Ndebele was also back to boost the squad ahead of the match against Terrible CO.

The players have been out of training since their SwaziBank Cup first round triumph over Sikhalo Se Africa due to injuries.
