Nigeria’s Sunshine Stars host Al Ahly of Egypt in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-ode on Sunday, October 7, with the return leg two weeks later.
Ahly are on track to record seventh conquest, while Sunshine Stars are making only their debut appearance in Africa’s foremost club competition.
However, Al-Badri has insisted his more experienced team expect a tough test from the Akure club.
“We never have it mind that we will have an easy ride or very easy game against Sunshine Stars,” Al-Badri said.
“They are good side and we have to be very careful facing them. We have been preparing hard for them and we are not taking them for granted for any reason.”
The overall winners of this semi-final will clash with the winners of the other semi-final between defending champions Esperance of Tunisia and TP Mazembe of DR Congo.
