Sunshine Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote has ordered for goals against Algeria’s ASO Chlef in a crunch CAF Champions League tie on Sunday.

Sunshine Stars have not scored a goal in the group stage of Africa foremost club competition after two rounds of matches and the coach has therefore called on his team to put away the chances that come their way against the Algerians.

“It is going to be a tough game, we know how important the game is to our ambition and we are playing to win,” Ogunbote told MTNFootball.com

“I pray that our strikers get it right this time around and not to be wasteful.

“The outcome of this game will determine a lot about our future in the competition. I am sure God will crown our efforts.”

Sunshine, who are third in Group A after a home defeat to Esperance and an away 0-0 draw with Etoile du Sahel, must win to stand a chance of finishing second in the group.

The game holds at the Dipo Dino Stadium in Ijebu-Ode and victory would take the Akure club to four points from three matches.

"We are aware of what is at stake. We know we must win to remain in contention," further stated Ogunbote.

"The spirit in camp is high and the boys now understand that they need to pick all three points at home because that's the only way we can get out of this group."

Meanwhile, Sunshine goalkeeper Moses Ocheje has declared that his team will build on their success on the road in the NPL against Warri Wolves to win on Sunday.

Ocheje told MTNFootball.com that the victory over Warri Wolves has increased their confidence and will spur them to victory.

He said, "Our victory over Warri Wolves has boosted our morale and increased our confidence.

“We want to make that success a spring board for us against ASO Chlef. We know the importance of the game and we are going for an outright victory."
