Co-hosts Gabon were superb in winning all three of their Group C matches to easily march into the quarterfinals.
They were joined by Tunisia, with both sides having qualified before the final round of matches were played.
Morocco could manage just one win, against minnows Niger, and had a very disappointing tournament. Niger lost all three games as expected.
