Zambia will get US$90,000 each if they retain the Africa Cup trophy.

Zambia sports minister Chishimba Kambwili said the bonus will be cumulative.

"Overall the Zambia national team will be paid US$90,000 each for lifting the trophy," Kambwili said.

"That is a cumulative figure from the first game I the group stage game to the final."

The bonus is rise from the US$57,000 offered  minus fringe payouts for winning the 2012 tournament held in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

Meanwhile, Zambia kicks off their defence of the title on January 21 with a Group C opener against Ethiopia.

Other teams in Group C are Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
