Chelsea star Victor Moses has said he will soon be back in action for the Eagles at the on-going AFCON in South Africa.

Moses suffered a hamstring injury during a training camp in Portugal and so was left out of Monday’s Group C opening clash against Burkina Faso.

"Tough first game 1-1, plenty of positives for us. Reason for those asking why I didn't play was because I picked up minor injury in training, back soon," Moses tweeted.

Nigeria hope the Chelsea winger will recover in time for Friday’s showdown against champions Zambia.

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said he hopes Moses regains full fitness.

“We hope he is fit for our next match against Zambia because at the last practice game in Portugal he had a hamstring injury,” said Keshi.

Moses is widely regarded as one of the players to star on their AFCON debut in South Africa after he made his international bow against Rwanda in February last year. He scored twice in a final qualifying match against Liberia in October.
