Angolan striker Manucho says he hopes to score against South Africa and is ready to do his best for his country.

South Africa and Angola face off at Moses Mabhida stadium on Wednesday at 5pm.

Manucho scored against Bafana Bafana in the Africa Nations Cup in Ghana in 2008.

"I will do my best and I hope to have a better one than the opening match," he said.

"A lot is expected of me, I can take that, and I will do my best and hopefully I'll get a chance to score against South Africa once again.

Asked about being a lone striker these days as opposed to having a partner, Manucho said: "I am okay playing alone and will adapt to what the coach wants. It doesn't really matter to me.

"How far can we go in the competition? Well, a lot depends on tomorrow's match. I think this game will decide on everything."
