Bishaw Sewnet says Ethiopia are feeling no pressure ahead of Mondays Group C opener against Zambia at Mbombela Stadium.

Ethiopia on January 21 ends its 31 year absence from the Africa Cup when they face defending champions Zambia at Nelspruit.

"No pressure at all. I am here to get experience I am very happy to be part of this group as a winner to be part of the Africa Cup," Sewnet said at the teams pre-match press briefing held at their secluded base at The Winkler in Mpumalanga on Sunday.

"I don’t care what the results will come out tomorrow that will be another part of history."

Ethiopia secured their qualification after a 5-5 aggregate win over Sudan whom they beat 2-0 in the final round, return leg qualifier in Addis Ababa last October to qualify on away goals rule.

"We will be working for another experience and happiness," Sewnet said.

"We will just work hard as a group that’s all.

"If we work as a team the results will be good."

Meanwhile, Sewnet said the team had already adjusted to the current rainy local conditions despite arriving in South Africa 72 hours before facing the African champions.

“I don’t think so we have done our training on a muddy ground yesterday and that didn’t affect us. So there is no problem about the weather,” Sewnet said.
