We will beat Nigeria: Mohamed Koffi
Mohamed Koffi of Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso on Sunday makes its Africa Cup final debut when they face Nigeria at Soccer City in Johannesburg.
"We are going to play Nigeria again on Sunday and we are going to win," Koffi said.
"We shall celebrate later now but after the game on Sunday and not now.
"We shall prepare well and we will be quick and powerful.”
The two sides renew acquaintances just three weeks after their initial meeting at the tournament on January 21 in both sides opening Group C match played at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
In that game, Burkina Faso came from behind to draw 1-1 with 10-man Nigeria through an Alain Traore late equalizer.
However Traore, who is also Burkina Faso’s top scorer on three goals, will miss the final after being ruled out for three weeks due to a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, Burkina Faso are keeping their fingers cross after appealing to CAF over key midfielder Jonathan Petroipa's suspension.
Petroipa was sent off for a second bookable offence in their 3-2 semifinal penalty shoot win over Ghana on February 6 at Mbombela.
