Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has promised “a sweet victory” over Liberia on Saturday in a decisive 2013 AFCON qualifier.

Both teams are on level pedestal having played out a 2-2 draw in Monrovia early last month with the overall winners this weekend advancing to next year’s Nations Cup in South Africa.

“Come Saturday we will give the nation a sweet victory and qualify for the Nations Cup in South Africa,” Keshi assured on arrival in Calabar on Monday.

The Eagles, made up of seven home-based players and officials, were welcomed at the airport by the Cross River State commissioner of sports, Patrick Ugbe.

The team have since booked into the Metropolitan Hotel.

Keshi also said the team will have a full training on Tuesday evening with all 15 invited Europe-based players in attendance.

He assured that there was enough time to prepare the team for the game against the Lone Star of Liberia, arguing that the fact that most of the players invited have been playing regularly for their clubs is enough to make up for lost time.
