Sinkala heads to TP Mazembe
Sinkala with Nations Cup
Zambia seek Gabon return
Zambia Africa Cup-winning
midfielder Nathan Sinkala has disclosed he is on his way to TP Mazembe despite
reported interests from Germany and South Africa.
There are already several Zambia stars at DR Congo's Mazembe including Rainford Kalaba, Given Singuluma and Stoppila Sunzu and Hichani Himonde.
Sinkala joined TP Mazembe from MTN/FAZ Super Division club Green Buffaloes just before taking off to the 2012 Africa Cup with eventual winners Zambia in January.
The 22-year-old midfielder who has yet to kick the ball for the four-time African club champions has been linked with a Bundesliga club and Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I will look at both the offers from German and in South Africa but first I have to go to TP Mazembe and see how things go from there," Sinkala told MTNFootball.com prior to leaving for Lubumbashi on Tuesday.
"And I haven’t even been introduced to the club or met the club president, so have to wait and see before any decision is made."
Sinkala said he had also been in touch with his big brother, Andrew Sinkala, who has been supportive over his prospective move to Germany where the latter plays for promoted Augsburg.
However, a source close to the development has revealed that TP Mazembe have yet to receive anything concrete from any suitors.
"A couple of clubs have called TP indicating they are interested in Sinkala," the source said.
"The club have asked these people to put it in writing, but it’s two weeks now and nothing concrete has come through yet."
