Guinea blast SA ref for 'helping' Ghana

Ghana drew 1-1 with the Syli National to finish top of Group D, while the Guineans crashed out of the tournament after Mali defeated Botswana 2-1 in the other game in the group in Libreville.
“Ghana are a great team, but they did need the help of the referee to go through,” blasted Dussuyer after the match.
“I am disappointed and angry.
“In the first half all the fouls were against Guinea when we all know that this is a very physical game.”
Mamadou Bah was sent off in the 69th minute for a second booking as Guinea were reduced to 10 men.
“The first yellow card against Bah was not deserved,” insisted the French coach.
“And now to then play 10 against 11, it was very, very difficult for us.”
Experienced referee Bennett was slow in taking decisions and turned a blind eye to several late tackles as both teams made a combat of this clash in the last half hour.
The Guinea coach’s other regret was the 1-0 loss they suffered against West African rivals Mali in their opening group game.
“We did not deserve to lose to Mali. We were a bit unlucky in that game. It was a big regret therefore to lose that game,” he said.
Ghana assistant coach Kwesi Appiah said the most crucial thing for his team was to finish top of Group D and they have achieved this with the draw against Guinea.
“We knew it was not going to be an easy game against a good Guinea team, but tactically we played well and we did not lose this game,” said Appiah.
“We have qualified for the quarterfinal top of our group and that is what matters now.”
The Black Stars tackle Tunisia Sunday night in the last quarterfinal in Franceville, while second-placed Mali battle co-hosts Gabon in Libreville in an earlier kick-off.
To bad the Shyi nationals had to go home early they where suppose to play zambia in the finals nxt weekend!!
