Emenike recalled by Eagles
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has gone for fire power by recalling Brown Ideye and Emmanuel Emenike for next month’s AFCON clash in Liberia.

Both strikers Ideye and Emenike have been in fine form for their European clubs and have now been rewarded with a chance to prove they can score in a green-white shirt.

The strikers are among 11 overseas-based professionals picked for the September 8 Nations Cup qualifier in Monrovia.

Others on the squad are Victor Moses, who has completed his transfer to Chelsea, as well as new Real Betis signing Nosa Igiebor.

There is no place for Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi,  defender Taye Taiwo and Osaze Odemwingie, who features for English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.

Eagles pros for Liberia:

Goalkeeper: Vincent Enyeama (Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israel)

Defenders: Joseph Yobo (Fenerbahce, Turkey); Efe Ambrose (Ashdod FC,Israel); Elderson Echiejile (Sporting Braga, Portugal)

Midfielders: Nosa Igiebor (Real Betis, Spain); Obiora Nwankwo (Calcio Padova, Italy)

Forwards: Victor Moses (Wigan Athletic, England); Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow, Russia); Ikechukwu Uche (Villarreal, Spain); Emmanuel Emenike (Spartak Moscow, Russia); Brown Ideye (Dynamo Kiev, Ukraine)
