Sunshine lead Keshi's 30 invitees
Ajani celebrates with Sunshine
The players are Ajani Ibrahim, goalkeeper Moses Ocheje, Godfrey Oboabona, Sunday Emmanuel and Izu Azuka.
Last year’s WAFU Cup champions Sharks have four players, while 2011 CAF Champions League semi-finalists Enyimba as well as Federation Cup champions Heartland, Premier League champions Dolphin and Warri Wolves provide three players each.
The training camp is preparatory to Nigeria’s 2013 Nations Cup qualifier in Rwanda on February 29.
All 30 players are drawn from 12 Premier League clubs, with the exception of Youth Corper Stephen Morah, a 22-year-old graduate of Industrial Chemistry from the University of Jos discovered by Keshi at the NYSC Games last weekend.
Nine of the clubs supply 26 of the players as Keshi moves to re-engineer the Super Eagles by giving the home boys a decent opportunity to shine.
Expectedly, Warri Wolves goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim tops the list of the ball savers, with Okemute Odah of Sharks, Paul Godwin of Enyimba and Moses Ocheje of Sunshine also called.
Heartland’s lion-hearted defender Chibuzor Okonkwo leads the pack of defenders, which includes former Flying Eagle star Gbenga Arokoyo, U23 ace Markson Ojobo, former U-17 Team captain Fortune Chukwudi and beach soccer international James Okwuosa.
Former Al Ittihad of Libya’s left-footed striker Izu Azuka, who has been snapped up by Sunshine Stars, Enyimba’s Uche Kalu and Premier League record goal scorer Jude Aneke are among the forwards.
The players are expected to report at the Bolton White Apartments hotel in Abuja on Monday, December 19.
