Gosso-Gosso: Bring On Group A
Abdoul Camara of Guinea battles with Tshepo Motlhabankwe of Botswana
Gosso-Gosso said at the teams press briefing at the Sofitel Hotel Sipopo in Malabo on Saturday that Cote d'Ivoire was focused on reaching the finals.
"Obviously we respect any team we face but we fear no team and we will play against any of them," the former Wydad Casablanca and Monaco man said.
He however added that The Elephants had a lot of respect for Zambia who on Sunday evening battle Equatorial Guinea hoping to avoid Cote d'Ivoire and finish top of Group A.
"We have a lot of respect for the Zambia team because they play very well," Gosso-Gosso said.
Cote d'Ivoire have qualified to the quarterfinals with a game in hand on six points from two games played heading into their final Group B match against second placed Angola on Monday in Malabo.
Angola has four points and need only a draw against Cote d’Ivoire to join their opponents on Monday to book their place in the first set of last eight games scheduled for February 4.
The Elephants are hot favorites in this year’s tournament as they seek their first Africa Cup win since 1992.
