Libya ended their participation in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 victory over Senegal in Bata on Sunday.
Although the result was not enough to see the Mediterranean Knights through to the next round, they will be pleased with getting a win under their belt.
Ahmed Saad Osman, who plays his club football for Club Africain in Tunisia was a livewire for Marcos Paqueta’s side, but ultimately the man of the match has to be his striking partner Ihab Albousaifi who netted a brace on the night.
The Al-Ittihad striker opened the scoring in the 5th of the match after receiving a pass from Osman but saw his goal cancelled minutes later by a Deme Ndiaye.
The 26-year-old then stole the three points by netting the winner with a well-taken volley in the 85th minute.
