Tournament Review:
Despite only making one start, N’Diaye, unlike some of the big-name strikers who failed to score a single goal, did find the back of the net.
He managed to play only 75 minutes at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Pre-Tournament Profile:
This 26-year old attacking midfielder made his professional debut in 1999 at Senegalese club AS Douanes, where he spent six years before joining the Portuguese premier division and CF Estrela da Amadora Club.
He proceeded to spend four seasons in Portugal and then signed for French Ligue 2 club, Arles-Avignon in 2009 where he actively participated in their rise to the Ligue 1 from his first year.
Dème N’Diaye was called upon to represent the Lions of Téranga for the first time on 5 September 2009 against Angola and has represented the selection regularly since 2010.
