Tournament Review:
The pace and flair possessed by Daniel Cousin left many asking as to why he was not a regular starter for the co-hosts.
Having been benched against Morocco and Niger, the striker proved that the bench was not the place he should be.
Coming on against Morocco, Cousin scored a 79th minute striker to gift his team with the equalizer. Then in the quarterfinal against Mali, he was taken off and the Panthers soon found themselves a goal down.
Pre-Tournament Profile:
Without a doubt the best known Gabon international for several years now after his stint in England and Scotland.
He led the Azingo National to the 2010 Nations Cup in Angola.
This target man recently quit Greek club Larissa so as to return to the local league in his home country and enhance his chances of being part of the team for the 2012 Nations Cup.
At 34 and with a bag of experience behind him, he is now the main source of inspiration for his younger teammates in the national side.
