This defensive midfielder came through the youth ranks at Stella Club d’Adjamé, then joined Wydad Casablanca in 2002 where he remained for four years.  In January 2007 he joined Israeli club MS Ashdod, before settling at AS Monaco in July 2008.  He quickly stood out in the Monegasque midfield, but when his club was relegated at the end of the 2010-2011 season, he decided to leave and signed for Turkish outfit Orduspor.  In November 2008, he was selected for the first time for the Elephants and was then called up for the ACN 2010 and the South African World Cup as substitute.  Since then he has been called up regularly to represent the national team.
