Mambas hold nerve in shoot-out
Mozambique have advanced to the final round of qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup of nations after a thrilling 8-7 victory in a penalty shoot-out on Sunday.
The teams had been level at 1-1 going into the game and played to the same scoreline on Sunday in Maputo, leaving the match to go to a shoot-out.
The home side held their nerve to advance, but should really have wrapped up the game in normal time after missing a host of chances.
Jerry Sitoe had opened the scoring for Mozambique on 12 minutes, but the The Taifas Stars equalized late on to send the game to extra-time.
