The younger brother of central defender Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure is another product of the famed ASEC Mimosas youth Academy in Abidjan. Early in his career he played for Beveren, Metalurh Donetsk, Olympiacos and Monaco.
At the start of the 2007 campaign Toure joined Spanish giants Barcelona and it was there that he has made the biggest impression in the star-studded squad.
In 2008/09 Toure helped Barca to an amazing treble, culminating in a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League final where Toure played at centre back, showing off his amazing versatility and ability to play anywhere needed.
Since 2010 he has been a Manchester City player and has already written himself into the club’s history books by scoring the winning goal in their FA Cup final triumph over Stoke City in 2011.
